So, yesterday I finished up JayBat's Babylon5 model. It turned out reasonably well. If I had it to do over again I would build a good bit more internal structure. It sort of wanted to fall apart in my hands as I assembled it all. Click on the thumbnail for more images.  |

Pioneer 10! I always imagined this thing to be huge in real life from the images I saw of it heading out of the solar system. It turns out the main dish is only something on the order of 6-8ft. This too is one of Ton's designs and can be found here. I should have made the reactor supports and the low gain antenna supports stronger. Other than that it is a very pleasant build. This is Ton's model of the Gemini Titan II craft. It can be found over at the Lower Hudson Valley website. Overall it went together very well. I did notice afterward that I needed to make the stand a big stronger, as it wants to twist a little bit. Click on the thumbnail for a larger image.  |
